So as you can probably tell from the main site’s page my book cover is complete. All we need to do now is get it set for the printer, which it is, and upload it, which it is in the process of doing:)
If you’re wondering where the book cover idea came from… well it came from me… heavily influenced by the artwork of Frank Frazetta and Boris Vallejo. Growing up in the 70′s I was heavily influenced by those guys. Their work was very popular, especially on book covers. The works of Karl Edward Wagner, Robert E. Howard, and many other prolific fantasy and horror writers were lucky enough to have some of their work clothed in the skill sets of Frazetta and Vallejo.
I commissioned the artist Kenney Mencher to do my book cover. I got a lot of responses for the job. A lot of high quality artists and designers applied. But Mencher’s work had a uniqueness about it that I appreciated. A quality of stroke that lends the eye to travel the canvass and I dug his stuff. As you can see he did a great job for DISTORTION. The cover truly embodies my written work.
